Kirby goes mecha
Today I received a new Nintendo 3DS game with the mail, it's Kirby: Planet Robobot. I've actually wanted this one since it was released but never got around to actually buy it so I decided to change that around and get the game. I haven't played it yet but I always like the Kirby platformers so I think this one will be a very fun game too! Definitely looking forward to playing it.
I got myself two new digital games in the last two days, one for PC and one for the Nintendo 3DS. I noticed that there was a sale going on in the Origin store from Electronic Arts and I decided to finally buy Unravel for PC. I've been playing the first three levels already and it's a game that I really like, it looks amazing too! For the Nintendo 3DS I bought Ninja Battle Heroes yesterday while I was browsing through the eShop. It was on sale and very cheap and while watching the trailer it looked like something I would enjoy. I've been playing it for a while already and indeed, I love this game! A great action platformer for a very good price this.
Vampire hunting on vinyl
I mentioned this before quite some times already but I'm a fan of video game soundtracks and vinyl records so I love the combination of both! Today the soundtrack for Castlevania arrived on vinyl, it's a short record but it sounds really good and the artwork on it looks amazing too!
The sky has no limit
Finally a game that I was anticipating for quite some time now was released last friday, it's No Man's Sky for the PC. I bought it immediately and have played for about 10 hours already. I really like this game, I can see myself loosing quite some hours in this one just exploring planets and galaxies. I had to tweak a bit with the settings at first but now the game runs really good on my PC.
A beautiful underwater adventure
Today a small game that I was looking forward to was finally released, it's the underwater adventure Abzû. The moment it was available on Steam I bought it, I knew this was something for me since the first trailer. I love underwater games and Abzû just looked amazing. I played it for half an hour now and it it simply stunning! It really looks beautiful. I know this is quite a short game but I also know already I'll finish this one multiple times.
Another LEGO Dimensions pack arrived with the mail yesterday. I ordered this one together with the Ghostbusters and Doctor Who level packs but they sent them seperately because this one wasn't in stock right away. It's the Doctor Who fun pack which includes the Cyberman and a Dalek! I love the Dalek in particular, so great to have one in LEGO form now.
Who you gonna call? Well...
I still love playing LEGO Dimensions from time to time, I occasionally start up the game and always have a great time with it! I also love the amount of franchises they are bringing together in this game. Yesterday I received two new level packs for it, the ones for Ghostbusters and Doctor Who! I always have liked the Ghostbusters a lot and I've recently started watching Doctor Who and I'm loving it. I also really liked the Doctor Who level in the story of LEGO Dimensions. I also can't wait for all the new franchises that are coming out for the game!
A bit of everything
Today I was away to Ostend with a very good friend and once again I came home with some new games to play. For PlayStation 4 I got J-Stars Victory VS+ and God of War III Remastered, these are used gamed that were on sale in a store. In another store that sells used games I found Tenchu: Time of the Assassins for the PlayStation Portable, I was looking for this game for quite some time so I was happy to finally pick this up. In that store I also bought a small soundtrack from the game OutRun 2. And lastly I also bought the new Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE for Wii U, I'm in the mood to start a new Japanese RPG and this one fills that bill perfectly.
Kratos, where are you!
So E3 went and came by, they showed a lot of good games and my personal favorite press conference was once again the one from Sony. They showed some amazing looking new games and because of that I wanted to go back to my PlayStation 3 and 4 backlog but that also made me buy a new game today. I got God of War Collection for PlayStation 3, the upcoming one looks really good and I wanted to experience the older ones too. I did play the first one on PlayStation 2 some time ago but I'll be happy to go through it again with better looking graphics. Today I also bought the Scooby-Doo team pack for LEGO Dimensions, I really love that game and Scooby-Doo was on the top of my list of the things to get for it.
Having a bricky good time
I was always very interested in LEGO Dimensions from the moment they announced it, I like the gameplay in the LEGO games and their humor is also very good. And since the stop of Disney Infinity was announced some time ago I became even more interested in this game. Now that they have shown the new franchises for their next year I knew I had to get this game finally. There are already quite some franchises in here that I like a lot and they have announced a lot more now like Gremlins, Sonic the Hedgehog, The A-Team and Knight Rider just to name a few. Got the game for PlayStation 4, I've built the portal yesterday, played a bit of the game already and I love it already. Besided the main game I also bought the Portal 2 level pack, this is one that I really wanted to have.
Faith and the monkeys
Another one of my highly anticipated games of 2016 has finally been released and I received my copy of it today! It's Mirror's Edge Catalyst on PC, I really liked the first one so I was automatically looking forward to this installation in the franchise. It's installing right now and I can't wait to dive in. A couple of days ago I also bought Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble for the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console, it's still amazing to have these classics on the go and the Super Nintendo games look great on Nintendo 3DS.
Bring your own music
Today a new game was released on Steam that I saw passing by a couple of times when it was still in early access mode. It's Melody's Escape, a rhythm game that you can play on all your own digital music. I saw the good reviews and immediately decided to buy it, I always like a fun rhythm game and this one is definitely fun and addicting. Some time ago I have ripped all of my CD's to my PC so I have quite a big library to play with in this game.
