Yoshi goes to Japan
Actually he comes from Japan but yeah... I received a new Super Famicom game today, it's Super Mario: Yoshi's Island! I already have the European version of this game but since I'm focusing more and more on Famicom and Super Famicom games I couldn't pass this one up when I had to chance to buy it. The game is in great condition and once again I love the box art! Super Famicom games really have amazing boxes.
The Wii strikes back
I have always liked the Wii, the system has an amazing library of games and a lot of hidden gems on there too. It's also very handy that I can play those games on my Wii U. I used to be on the lookout for new Wii games a lot more but lately it's been quite on that front for me. Until today that is because I bought two new ones, Another Code: R - A Journey Into Lost Memories and Speed Racer: The Videogame. I really liked the DS game Another Code so I wanted this sequel too and I've heard pretty good things about the Speed Racer game too.
More Famicom fun
Another pair of Famicom games has arrived today, I still love these cartridges and it's amazing to play them on the AVS! The two I got today are Nekketsu Koukou Dodgeball-bu Soccer-hen (Nintendo World Cup) and Mickey Mouse: Fushigi no Kuni do Daibouken (Mickey Mousecapade). I always liked Nintendo World Cup and it's great to have the Famicom version now, the Mickey Mouse game was cheap so I bought it along with the other one.
I pity the fool!
Some more LEGO fun has arrived today for LEGO Dimensions! While I was away last weekend I was looking for B.A. Baracus from The A-Team but he was already sold out everywhere. I looked online and ordered him together with the Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz. The Wicked Witch was in sale and it's a figure that I also wanted for the game. But B.A. takes the crown this time around for me! I also can't wait for the next wave, quite a few I want from that one.
Start your engines, here comes the storm
I remember when the PlayStation 3 first came out that I always used to see the game MotorStorm in the demopods of the console and I actually quite liked that racer. Today I have finally bought a copy for myself for a very cheap price, beter late then never they always say. I just hope I still like the game but for this price I couldn't go wrong actually, I'll play a bit of it tomorrow for sure.
It's like christmas in october!
Didn't saw this coming today... Four packages arrived that I was expecting and actually I was only expecting one for today. It really is like christmas in october like this! I got Capcom Generations for PlayStation and SD Hero Soukessen: Taose! Aku no Gundan for Famicom. Besides these two games finally my AVS has arrived too after being stuck with customs for a week! Ofcourse I already tested it when I got home from work and I love it already, all my Famicom games work like a charm and it looks amazing! And the last package contained a book called Super Famicom: The Box Art Collection, got it for a good price online and it looks like an amazing book now that I get into Famicom and Super Famicom! Really happy with all of these packages.
Konami Famicom fun
My AVS still hasn't arrived (it's stuck at customs at the moment) but that doesn't stop me from getting some more Famicom games to play on it when it arrives. Today I received two Konami titles for the Famicom, these are TwinBee and Akumajou Special: Boku Dracula-kun. That last one is also known as Kid Dracula and that's one that I really wanted for the system. I also got the chance to order TwinBee with it and couldn't pass it up. I really can't wait to play all these Famicom titles!
Famicom with a lot of super
Something that has caught me interest for a while now are Famicom and Super Famicom games, I love the Japanese versions of the games and I really wanted to play Super Famicom games at their full potential. So I searched online and found a webshop that had a Super Famicom, I ordered it and the console arrived today. I can't play just yet because my RGB cable for the Super Famicom is still on the way but I'm expecting that one this week. I also just love the boxes of the Super Famicom games, the art on it is amazing most of the time! Can't wait for the cable to arrive so I can finally play these games at 60hz.
1.21 gigabricks! Great Scott!
Next week the new batch of LEGO Dimensions contents starts to launch so for me it was time to get the last couple of sets of the previous waves that I really wanted to have. Those are the two Back to the Future sets, the level pack that includes Marty McFly and the fun pack with Doc Brown. They arrived yesterday and I'll open them up today, time to build some LEGO again. There are a couple of others that I'm interested in that are already available but I'll wait on a good price for those.
Going to the core
I bought this game yesterday and preloaded it already so I could play it first thing today. It's ReCore that I bought from the Windows Store, since this game was announced I already thought it looked very cool and if I have the choice between console and PC then that choice is easily made for myself. I already read that the PC port was very good, now that I played the game myself for a while already I can confirm this. It runs very smooth and I really like the game so far.
Axing on vinyl
Here we are again with another video game soundtrack on vinyl and it's another one from Data Discs! The seventh album in their line-up has arrived today and it's the soundtrack to Golden Axe I & II. It's playing right now and as usual from Data Discs it's great quality. Now I'm really looking forward to their announced vinyl record from Panzer Dragoon, I just love that soundtrack and the game!
Some people that know me for a while now know that I have always liked those Japanese superheroes and some of their American counterparts. Many years ago I used to watch a show named Masked Rider and later I found out that show was based on the Japanese series Kamen Rider. I always liked the designs of the Kamen Riders and even watched some shows. Today I received a PlayStation 4 game from Japan based on those shows, it's called Kamen Rider: Battride War Genesis and I'm really looking forward to playing this! I do hope I will know what I'm doing since the entire game is in Japanese.
