Bayonetta is back, baby!

Two of my favorite games of all time have been released once again, those are both Bayonetta games! The Switch versions of these amazing games have arrived today in the form of the special edition. I'm really looking forward to play these once again, I think I'm gonna start them this evening or maybe tomorrow. Time to put in a lot of hours in these games again, that's for sure.

Time to slay some colossi

Shadow of the Colossus is a game that I always wanted to play but I never got around to do so. When Sony announced a remake for PlayStation 4 I knew that was the time for me to finally play this classic game. I had it pre-ordered on the PlayStation Store and today it finally unlocked, I played it for a while already and I'm really liking it so far. I can't wait to play some more of this game, that's for sure.

Completing a trilogy

People who have followed this site for some time now know that I have purchased all vinyl soundtracks from Data Discs since number one. Today I received Streets of Rage 3 which completes this trilogy of vinyl records. I have not yet listened to it but I'm sure the quality will be amazing again. I'll definitely give this one a good listening this evening. I'm not quite as familiar with this soundtrack as I am with the first two games from the franchise.

And why not more NieR: Automata music?

NieR: Automata was definitely an amazing game for me last year and the soundtrack was just jaw-droppingly beautiful. Today I received some more music from the game which is always a good thing in my opinion. This time I bought the NieR: Automata Arranged & Unreleased Tracks CD, I'm very curious to hear these songs but I'm pretty sure they will be beautiful as well. It's also very nice that the box art from this CD and the one from the original soundtrack form one picture.

An amazing Dragon Ball game

When they announced Dragon Ball FighterZ at E3 last year I knew I was going to love this game. It looked simply amazing and now that the game is finally released I bought it today. The reason why I didn't buy it on day one is because I wanted to find out of the Steam version is any good, it got a lot of positive reviews in the last couple of days so today was the day for me. I already played the game for around three hours and I really like it a lot! It looks so good and it plays very well too, the battles are very fast and they do the Dragon Ball franchise great justice.

More retro on vinyl

Two more vinyl records showed up today and both are soundtracks to great retro games. They are both from Ship to Shore, a publisher of which I have some records already and they always sounded great. Kid Dracula and Rocket Knight Adventures are now the latest additions to my video game soundtrack collection on vinyl. I have just finished listening to both of them and they sound amazing. I really like these soundtracks and to have them on this format is great, I was actually hoping Rocket Knight Adventures would release on vinyl one day.

Super vehicle Vinyl Slug

Once again a new soundtrack on vinyl has arrived last week. It's the latest release by Data Discs, normally they do Sega soundtracks but they recently acquired the rights to SNK music too. Their first release is Metal Slug, a great game with an awesome soundtrack! I listened to it just now and it sounds amazing on vinyl. I'm really curious what other SNK releases we will get from Data Discs, I'm hoping for Garou: Mark of the Wolves myself.

Mario is trapped

Yesterday I went away with a good friend and I came back home with a couple of games. It are sales right now here and they actually had some things that I was interested in. I bought myself Paper Mario: Color Splash for Wii U and Trapt for PlayStation 2. Paper Mario was half price and it's one of the last Wii U games that I wanted to have. Trapt is a used game, it looks really cool and quite unique so I decided to give it a go. I also bought a Wii U GameCube Adapter, I don't know if I will ever this but it was extremely cheap and you never when it can come in handy. Lastly I also bought two more in the Steam winter sales, these two are Aragami and Final Fantasy VIII.

The last games of the year

I bought some new games today that were all quite cheap, these will be the last games for 2017. I even got some PlayStation 2 games, never thought I would buy some more of these. I got Way of the Samurai 2 and Bujingai Swordmaster, they look like really cool games so I decided to take a change on buying them. I also got Luigi's Mansion 2 for Nintendo 3DS and Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble! for Nintendo DS. And finally I bought some digital games on the PlayStation store that were in a good sale. I bought Persona 5, Patapon Remastered and Wild Arms 3. And before I forget, I also got some games in the Steam winter sale. These are The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, What Remains of Edit Finch, Vanquish and Assassin's Creed.

Switching it up for Christmas

First of all I want to wish you all a merry Christmas! I had a good time already and also received two new Switch games as presents. These games are Doom and Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition. I'm really looking forward to playing these, Doom was amazing on PC and I also really liked Rayman Origins. I haven't played Legends yet so it will be a totally new experience for me. Once I have finished Skyrim on Switch I will start one of these two. Some weeks ago I also bought Okami HD digital on PlayStation 4, it's my all time favorite game and it's still an amazing experience to this day!

Musical skulls

I received two packages in the last two weeks but only got around to take a picture of them now. In the first one was the soundtrack from Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows on vinyl, once again this has amazing art on it and it sounds so good. I really dig (pun intended) the Shovel Knight music! The second package was actually one that I totally forgot about, it's the physical version from Skullgirls: 2nd Encore on PlayStation 4. I ordered this one a year ago and it slipped my mind that I did this. I don't know when I'll be playing this one, but it comes with a soundtrack on CD which is always a nice bonus and the music is pretty good.

Fus Ro Switch

It shows lately that I really love playing games on my Switch, after the incredible experience that is Super Mario Odyssey I have received a new game yesterday. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is my next big epos for Nintendo's hybrid console. I've played it for a good two hours already and I'm really enjoying it so far, this is my first time that I play Skyrim. Besides this big RPG I also got Rocket League on Switch digitally, an ideal game for when I have some time left and it's just as fun as the PC version that I've played before. And as a last new purchase I also bought Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite on PlayStation 4 digital. It's a fun game but it's not as good as the previous installments in the franchise, the roster feels a bit too safe for my taste.
